Can't get enough of this cassoulet!
I'm so glad that this is back on the shelves! We love this cassoulet as it's very tasty and satisfying - a quick and easy meal. I'm not normally one for tinned food, but this is terrific.

Cassoulet a la Francais?
I watched Rick Stein's TV series where he travelled through France on a barge accessing different recipes and foods along the way and he showed how cassoulet was made as it is very popular in France. It looked really appetising, especially as I like meals which have many different types of ingredients in them so I thought that I would try this. Obviously it is not going to be anywhere near as good as freshly made but I was rather disappointed as it had very little taste, although the price is very reasonable for a complete meal. I would recommend that others try it though, as it is a good stop gap if you in a hurry and want a very quick, cheap meal.

Delicious cassoulet, like at home!
Last time the cassoulet was available, I bought a tin thinking that it would be an 'average' quality. I was extremely surprise by how good it was. I am French and this is food that we eat and love since young age. There are leading brand selling cassoulet of acceptable standard (that we are used to) and there are some local/gastronomic like cassoulet which taste exactly like the Aldi brand. So I can highly recommend the cassoulet which is superior quality and really delicious.
