Ronseal is better than most others tried.
Very good value from Aldi and used last summer as well. Has lasted better than other similar products used before. But being water based and green to environment I found it wears fast especially on side where weather hits it in winter (wind rain etc).
But as a green product it is better that oil based products for environment and once it has covered, the following year only needs a thinned out coat or two depending on wear. It is then as good again. Very good colour hold and will not fade even in full sun. I used it on the wall behind as well as the shed and it seems to have also held to my surprise. Wall is now clean and free of any algae or growth which used to have to be pressure washed off each year. One less job. I have also used it inside the shed on the roof applying thickly and it has even filled small holes in the wood giving a smooth finish. Also works on my bamboo canes for the beans. I give them a clean and paint them before storage. Then they are ready to go back into the ground in spring.
