Perfect set
Having spent last christmas in Spain I knew I had to get one of these.
Seeing it in the box in the store I was surprised how big it actually was, next to the small sized one it looked like it must have come from a giant pig.
Setting up the stand was nice and easy to follow, trying to place it on the spiked part nearly required two people due to the size of it. Removing the plastic it was quite oily, but I put this down to being coated with olive oil before packing. A quick wipe with a paper towel took most of it off, once it was allowed to breath it looked nicer and was easy to grasp for the first cutting.
The knife that comes with the set is strong enough to slice the top layer off, but then thin and sharp enough to cut wafer thin slices off.
The taste of this is quite nice, not overly strong or smokey like some preserved meats, but stronger than normal ham.
I have had it for a little over a day and have so far gotten about 2 inches into it, the flavour changes as you get into it, but it does feel a little softer in the middle, like it could have been hung for another few months. There is a fair amount of fat around the edges (to be expected, it's from a pig) but that peels away from the meat no problem.
Not only is it good for a snack to slice off and nibble on, but I have had it on pizza, in a toasted sandwich and in an omlet.
For the price you can't get much better, looking online it's hand to find a ham this size for the price, let alone a full set with a stand, knife and sharpener.

Fabulous value for money quiet unbelievable
Saw the offer and made sure I was at store for 8am as not to miss out and I couldn't be happier, it's enormous and the stand is of the highest quality, another wonderful product from Aldi
